Technology 2040 acts as an idea incubator where students undergo a structured process to unleash their creativity - attempting to curate solutions for the World around them. This could be in the form of product or social innovation. Under the umbrella of Technology 2040 lies Majulah's ad-hoc courses and tech booths. Majulah Tech-X is a series of booths displaying interactive technology for youths and adults alike to explore and play with.
Tech-X is a series of booths displaying interactive technology. Booth facilitators walk participants through showcased gadget(s) by explaining the technology involved in the electronics. Students will then be invited to try these items out to ignite a sense of curiousity as to what the future holds and how they can be a part of a culture embracing technology and its creation.
Since technology is progressing so fast, youths should be made aware of how it is affecting their lives. In our approach to technology transformation, we start with developing the awareness of the students towards technologies. We encourage them to have a conversation about the changes and have them learn not to fear technology but see it simply as a tool which can be made to work for them.
The most important step to create involvement in the local tech community is to garner interest. Hence, by introducing games, competitions and interaction between student and robot, we hope they might be interested to own one themselves, and be resourceful about having to create them.
